God is the Truth and the truth is with God. There is nothing that is
true that is outside God. All else is false, and that is Satan.
Everything good comes from God, there is nothing good outisde God.
All else is evil, and that is Satan.
God created man in His Own Image, for His Own Glory, and endowed man
with great gifts, especially the gift of Free will. History has shown that
man has ignored God and has been seeking fortunes on his own. Even from the
early times when man strayed away from God, God in His goodness and mercy
sent His Prophets to encourage man to return to Him and to be with Him.
When all this was ignored and man continued his own way, God sent His only
begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Blessed Trinity
to become Man and show us the way. He too was rejected, and the world is what
it is today.
God resides within man, but man has the freedom to suppress God and act on
his own. When man moves away from God, he unknowingly and unwittingly moves
away from the truth and from goodness. He is left to himself and is soon lost
in the wilderness of "self". As time goes, the qualities of honesty, truth,
self-respect, dignity, honour, etc,etc diminish and eventually fade away.
What he sees is himself, and is quickly covered by selfishness, arrogance,
etc, etc. In extreme cases, anger, hatred, envy etc, etc,... will
engulf him, but he will not have the power of discernment to recognize these.
Even when someone points it out, he will not accept the reality - the
characteristics that allow him to recognize the truth are dormant, and are too
weak to emerge, he continues to see only himself. Whatever man does without
invoking the blessings of God will only have the appearance of success, often,
in time, some of them have been shown to be disastrous.
Consider the politicians and the world leaders of the present times, they are a
perfect example of what I am trying to convey. If some of them accept God, they
are too weak and cowardly to openly profess it. There is a rapidly increasing
number who are decisively against God, the Liberals, Communists, Socialists, etc.
These may be a small minority, but are in charge in many places, and wield great
power. In this environment nothing beneficial to the general public can result.
The powers that be, will do everything that will please those to whom they,
the politiicians are beholden to - their immediate and powerful supporters. Those
in opposition are unable to do anything about it. Standards of morality, ethics,
discipline, good sense etc, etc are diminished, some even eliminated. There is
hardly anyone who is prepared to stand up for righteousnous, dignity, and honour.
Politicians who are not Liberals or Socialists, are too weak, feeble and cowardly.
Some even accept evil as new trends and consider it modern culture.
Let us, for this discussion assume that the Liberals/Socialists can provide the
people  with every material good that is conceivable ( I entreat the reader to spare
me from being stoned to death for such a frivolous statement), they still cannot
make a single human being happy, they do not know what happiness is, and they are
far beyond it.
It is only God who can salvage humanity from it's present predicament. For this,
we must, individually and severally turn to God. We have all fallen into a dark,
deep vertical pit, and our blind leaders are digging horizontal tunnels promising
everyone the light of day. We must abandon this path that vanishes and return to God
with the firm desire of doing His will, and not doing what we think is His will.
We can then rest assured, that He will be our God and we His people. Peace,
tranquility, happiness and prosperity will then be within everyone's reach.

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart,and with thy
whole soul, and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the
first commandment. And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments dependeth the
whole law and the prophets. (Matthew Chapter XXII, 37-40. Douay-
Rheims)."

Just imagine a person who truly, sincerely, and perseveringly believes in the above
Commandment, practices it, and  declares that he is going to enter into the contest for the
Presidency of the US. Is it conceivable that all the anger, the hatred, the negative
campaigning, moneys collected, votes of Mickey mouse and Donald duck, etc, etc will
have any impact? This guy will have only truth and goodness to back him, nothing else.
